Susan Treadaway has been sworn in as the district attorney for Cherokee County's Blue Ridge Judicial Circuit. She took over the position after former District Attorney Shannon Wallace became a Superior Court Judge in February 2023. Treadaway had been serving as the acting District Attorney for the past four months before being officially appointed by Governor Brian Kemp. With almost 20 years of experience as a felony prosecutor, Treadaway has worked in both Cherokee and Cobb counties. She expressed her commitment to pursuing justice, collaborating with law enforcement, and maintaining a safe community for Cherokee County residents.
