According to the Georgia State Patrol preliminary report, Dickson was driving a Ford F-150 at a high speed when he collided with three motorcycles traveling north together. The crash resulted in multiple injuries and one fatality. A witness followed Dickson's vehicle until law enforcement intervened. STORY 3: Cartersville police ID man they say shot at them on U.S. 41
Shane Jacquez Barfield, a 37-year-old Cartersville resident, has been identified as the man accused of shooting at police officers in Bartow County. The incident occurred near U.S. 41 South and Market Place Boulevard in Cartersville when officers responded to an accident call and encountered gunfire.
