Paulding County deputies are searching for a suspect linked to a Tuesday shooting in Clear Creek Subdivision. Deputies, investigating near US 278 West, identified multiple suspects, with one fleeing upon seeing law enforcement. Despite efforts, deputies couldn't locate them. The initial incident involved a man being shot and transported to an Atlanta hospital; no condition update was given. There's speculation that the injured man might have been picked up by a vehicle, though no description is provided.   1. You Gotta Be Kitten Me! Missing Cat Gives Owners an Absolute Shock... 12 Years Later 

The owners of a missing cat in California, Angelo, and Shelley Castellino, believed their cat Butters was gone for over 12 years, assuming he became prey for coyotes. However, an animal control officer in Riverside County, Dalton Churchwell, found Butters in Blythe, California, over 200 miles away from San Diego, his original home. Butters was identified through a microchip scan, surprising the Castellinos. Larry Rudolph, a volunteer at the county's animal services department, facilitated Butters' reunion with the Castellinos in Seattle, with the non-profit ASK Foundation covering the flight cost. Julie Rakestraw of Dallas was picked up on 10/7/23 for public drunkenness and hindering a law enforcement officer.

  1. Deputies identify ‘John Doe’ body found near Paulding County fast-food restaurant: 

Deputies sought public help to identify a deceased man near a Paulding County restaurant. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation determined he died of an overdose. Despite efforts by detectives and the GBI, public assistance was sought, leading to the identification of Joshua Bryan Gels, 40, from Douglasville. Gels was estranged from his family at the time of his death, and no foul play is suspected. Authorities thanked tipsters for their help and urged the public to report criminal activity to the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office................This from WSBTV 

 

 

  1. Atlanta Airport Stabbing Suspect Charged with Aggravated Assault: 

Damaris Milton, a 44-year-old from Orlando, Florida, is facing aggravated assault charges for allegedly stabbing three people, including an Atlanta police lieutenant and a taxi driver, at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The incident occurred around 4:45 p.m., with Milton reportedly stabbing a taxi driver before arriving at the airport. Armed with a knife, she was approached by officers near the west crossover, leading to the stabbing of a woman and a police lieutenant who tried to apprehend her. Officers successfully disarmed Milton, and all three victims, in stable condition, were taken to a hospital. Milton was unharmed and taken into custody.........This from the Patch
