The Woodstock City Council has approved a partial annexation and rezoning request for the construction of a new medical office building near Highway 92. The applicant, Northside Hospital, Inc., sought the annexation and rezoning of three vacant parcels totaling approximately 4.87 acres. The new medical office building will be about 37,500 square feet and is expected to employ 60-70 people. The council also granted variances for increased parking spaces, on the condition that the applicant installs electric vehicle charging stations and provides underground wiring. Entrances to the building will be accessible from Ragsdale Road. In addition, the council approved agreements for improvements to the Rope Mill Road multi-use trail, intersection improvements at Trickum Road and Nocatee Trail, and road improvements on Neese Road.
