STORY 1: Margaritaville at Lanier Islands Announces Multi-Million Dollar Enhancements
Margaritaville at Lanier Islands in Georgia is planning multi-million-dollar enhancements, including the rebranding of its Water Park to Fins Up Water Park. The new features, set to be completed in spring 2024, include four new waterslide coasters: Apocalypso, Mango Maina, Dreamsicle Dive, and Serpentine Story. Premium cabanas, food and beverage options, an expanded Wibit Aquatic Adventure water playground, and increased retail offerings are also part of the upgrade. The park will have a total of 15 waterslides, including Apocalypso, the largest waterslide coaster in Georgia. Margaritaville at Lanier Islands is also introducing the Winter Golden Fin Pass sale for its License to Chill Snow Island attraction.
STORY 2: Lowes Shoplifting Case
Gwinnett County police have identified three suspects in a theft case but are seeking assistance in locating them. The suspects, identified as Kenneth Williams Jr., Rogelio Anastasio Thompson, and Tyquan R Harden, are accused of stealing over $4,000 worth of merchandise from a Lowes store in unincorporated Lilburn in September. The theft involved grabbing a garbage bin and filling it with items, including breakers, before leaving the store without paying. Williams is believed to have acted as the getaway driver. Their current whereabouts are unknown. Authorities are encouraging anyone with information to contact detectives or Crime Stoppers, offering a cash reward for tips leading to an arrest and indictment.
STORY 3: How the Democrats are giving the country what it doesn’t want — a Trump-Biden rematch
According to recent reports, Joe Biden's advisers and prominent Democrats have been debating whether he should publicly pledge to serve only one term as president. However, Biden himself has denied having discussed making such a pledge. This debate arose in late 2019, when Biden was struggling in the Democratic primary and needed to differentiate himself from his younger rivals. Despite not making a one-term pledge, Biden went on to win the presidency in 2020. While there is concern within the Democratic Party about Biden's age and the need for new leadership, he remains the favorite in the race. However, his approval numbers have dropped, and there are growing frustrations among his supporters within the party.

STORY 5: New super cream can heal skin injuries from sunburn and chemical burns
Researchers in the United States have developed a synthetic melanin cream that can protect and heal damaged skin. The cream, referred to as "super melanin," mimics the natural melanin in human skin and can be used to repair sunburn and chemical burns. It scavenges free radicals that can damage skin and offers regenerative properties. The cream has potential applications in skincare, including protection from the sun and skin repair. It could also be used to aid cancer patients undergoing radiation therapy and other medical applications. The synthetic melanin is non-toxic, biocompatible, and has shown promise in studies.
