A 12-year-old boy is recuperating from a tree accident reported by the Helen Police Department. The incident occurred on Saturday at 5:14 p.m. The boy was struck by a tree along the Chattahoochee River, resulting in a head injury. The cause of the incident remains undisclosed. The child was swiftly transported to Children’s Egleston Hospital for treatment. His identity has not been disclosed at this time...... This from WSBTV

The boy's father, Artavious North, was arrested for false statements and a false report of a crime. Initial reports of an armed robbery have been debunked by the police. No suspects have been named, and it's unclear how J'Asiah went missing. He was last seen wearing Buzz Lightyear pajamas. The search has covered multiple locations, including apartments and a landfill. J'Asiah's mother and family members have been actively searching. A truck driver filmed performing donuts in an Atlanta intersection has been apprehended by the police. The incident occurred in West Midtown and was captured on video, showing the black truck spinning amidst a crowd at the intersection of 17th Street and Northside Drive. A trooper from the Georgia State Patrol intervened, activating emergency equipment, causing the truck to flee into the crowd and hit pedestrians. The trooper successfully halted the truck using a pit maneuver. The driver was pulled out of the vehicle's window and arrested.   1. Georgia sheriff pleads guilty to groping TV Judge Hatchett 

 

Georgia sheriff Kristopher Coody has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of sexual battery for groping TV judge Glenda Hatchett during a law enforcement conference in 2022. Coody resigned from his position as Bleckley County Sheriff after the guilty plea. Hatchett, known for her reality courtroom shows, expressed how the incident deeply affected her. Coody's attorney confirmed his resignation. Former DeKalb County sheriff Thomas Brown, who was with Hatchett at the conference, intervened when Coody groped her. Coody received a one-year probation sentence, a $500 fine, and 400 hours of community service. Coody had served as sheriff since 2017........ This from AP News

Five days later, Lindsay, her Bahamian lover Terrance Adrien Bethel, and an alleged hitman, Faron Newbold Jr., were charged with conspiring to murder Robert. The incident was captured on police bodycam footage, where the couple's divorce was discussed. Lindsay accused Robert of physical aggression while he denied it. Lindsay allegedly texted Bethel to "Kill him," leading to an investigation into a murder-for-hire plot. Former President Donald J. Trump and his co-defendants, totaling 18 individuals, are engaging in negotiations with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis' office regarding their bond. The discussions involve Trump's surrender at the Fulton County Jail and his arraignment on racketeering charges. Unlike typical cases, where arrestees appear before a magistrate judge within 72 hours, these defendants, who have been indicted for interfering with the 2020 presidential election, will negotiate bond terms before surrendering. Trump canceled a planned press conference where he intended to present exoneration documents. Willis proposes a March 2024 trial start, while Trump requests an April 2026 trial date........     A high school football game in Georgia between Benedictine Military School and Herschel V. Jenkins High School was canceled due to a TikTok challenge that prompted disruptive behavior among spectators. The challenge involved intentionally creating chaos to disrupt the event. Multiple crowd issues arose during the third quarter, leading to the game's cancellation. The Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools condemned the disruptive behavior, emphasizing the importance of safety. Benedictine was declared the winner with a 42-0 lead in the third quarter.
