Gwinnett County police are searching for Carlos Alvear-Olive, a man accused of shooting another man at a restaurant in unincorporated Norcross. The incident occurred on June 6 in the North Rockbridge Plaza Shopping Center. The shooting followed a verbal altercation that started inside the restaurant when the suspect allegedly inappropriately touched a woman. The victim escorted the suspect outside, where a brief conversation took place. Surveillance footage captured the suspect retrieving a weapon from his waistband, shooting the victim in the torso, and then walking away. The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds and remains hospitalized with serious injuries. Alvear-Olive is wanted on charges including aggravated assault, aggravated battery, possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes, theft by receiving, and sexual battery. Police are urging anyone with information about Alvear-Olive's whereabouts to contact them or Crime Stoppers. For more on this developing story, go to gwinnettdailypost.com.
