From the Henssler Financial Studios this is your news minute on the Gwinnett Daily post podcast, presented by Engineered Solutions of Georgia. Today is Monday July 10th, and I'm Brian Giffin.
In Gwinnett County, a district attorney's office investigator was shot in what appears to be a road rage incident on Auburn Road near Dacula. The shooting took place at the intersection of Auburn Road and Old Fountain Road. The investigator is in stable condition but is experiencing significant pain. The district attorney, Patsy Austin-Gatson, expressed her concern over the incident, emphasizing that shooting at a car because of frustration with slow driving or failure to yield is unacceptable and dangerous. After the shooting, the investigator sought help at a Shell gas station and was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police are actively searching for the shooter, who is believed to be driving a silver SUV with side damage. The police have not yet provided any updates on the case.
