Gainesville man accused of carrying hundreds of grams of fentanyl, meth arrested near Gwinnett-Hall line

A Gainesville man named Michael Gonzalez-Powell, aged 30, was arrested near the Gwinnett-Hall County line this week. Hall County deputies discovered that he was allegedly involved in drug trafficking. Upon searching him, they found a significant amount of illegal substances in his possession. The seized drugs consisted of approximately $275,000 worth of fentanyl and methamphetamine. As a result of these findings, Gonzalez-Powell is now facing charges related to drug trafficking, a serious offense, as well as a misdemeanor charge for obstructing an officer.
