During the annual State of Fulton County event, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners Robb Pitts highlighted several upcoming projects, including a new behavioral health crisis center and a mental health mobile unit. The behavioral health crisis center, funded by the county and the state, is set to open next year. Pitts also announced a new mobile app called Fulton Cares that will serve as a "one-stop-shop" for all health and human services funded by Fulton County. Other projects mentioned include a new primary care clinic in East Point, investments in water infrastructure, and a new elections hub. Pitts also addressed the recent closure of two hospitals in central and south Fulton County and the resulting healthcare disparity.

Nashville-based singer-songwriter Jordan Berry will perform at the event, and local celebrity judges, including former The Bachelorette star Josh Murray and 11Alive sports reporter Maria Martin, will judge the costume contest. Last year's fundraiser had over 500 attendees and raised $9,500 for Royal Animal Refuge.

A woman who escaped from police custody at Piedmont Henry Hospital was captured the same day by the Henry County Sheriff's Office.
