Over the weekend, a double shooting near Sugarloaf Parkway in Gwinnett County resulted in one fatality and another individual sustaining serious injuries, according to the Gwinnett County police. The incident involved multiple vehicles, and investigators are actively working to identify and locate those vehicles.
Officers were dispatched to a "Shots Fired" call at the intersection of Valley Club Drive and Sugarloaf Parkway just before 9 p.m. While en route, they received information that two shooting victims were being taken to a local hospital. Upon arrival at the hospital, one male was found deceased, and another male was in serious condition.
The police are currently investigating all possible motives and are conducting a search for security footage and potential witnesses in the area.
The names of the victims are being withheld until their next of kin is notified. Anyone with information about the case is urged to contact GCPD detectives at 770-513-5300. Informants may be eligible for a cash reward if their information leads to an arrest and indictment in this case.
