The U.S. Naval Academy, established in 1845, is a prestigious four-year service academy that educates and trains midshipmen to become professional officers in the naval service. Upon graduation, midshipmen receive a bachelor of science degree and go on to serve at least five years as commissioned officers in the U.S. Navy or U.S. Marine Corps. The Naval Academy receives thousands of applications each year, and Wilson's induction marks the beginning of an exciting journey towards a future career in the military.
