  1. Metro Atlanta elementary school teacher creates program that combines movement and learning:

A local grade school teacher named Sean Splawski developed a program called "Eduscize" using a small technology grant, which combines movement and learning for students. The program involves wearable heart monitors that students wear while participating in activities. Splawski created this program in 2017 to address both the need for engaging learning methods and the rising obesity rates among young people. The program's kinesthetic learning model connects physical activity with learning, helping students stay interested and active throughout the day. Students enjoy the program and unknowingly learn important real-life skills such as creativity, collaboration, and communication...... 1. Ozzie Albies leaves Mets game in the bottom of the 8th inning:

Atlanta Braves' second baseman Ozzie Albies exited the game during the 9th inning, replaced defensively by new acquisition Nicky Lopez. This move came after Ozzie displayed discomfort during an earlier play, where he grounded out and couldn't run properly. Although he walked off the field, his departure became apparent when Lopez took over in the 8th inning. Ozzie has a history of injuries, including a broken foot and pinky in 2022, as well as shoulder surgery that delayed his spring training start. The Braves struggled to replace him last season, using multiple players at second base with weak offensive and defensive production. An update clarified that Ozzie's exit was due to hamstring cramping, taken as a precautionary measure........ 1. College Football 2023 Odds: Georgia Is Heavy Favorite for National Championship Three-Peat

The Georgia Bulldogs are on track to achieve a rare feat in college football history, aiming to win their third consecutive national title. This accomplishment hasn't been achieved in over 80 years. The Bulldogs have emerged as the premier college football powerhouse, overtaking Alabama. The last team to achieve a three-peat was Minnesota from 1934-36, while Yale did so from 1886-88. Despite changes in their team, coach Kirby Smart is leading a capable squad for another title run. While Georgia is the favorite, other strong contenders include Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan, USC, LSU, Florida State, and Clemson. The betting market is gearing up for the upcoming season with kickoff just a month away........ Weird news:

  1. Scientists Confused by Rare Friendship Between Two Great White Sharks who frequent the Georgia coast:

In a surprising discovery, researchers from the nonprofit organization Ocearch tagged two great white sharks, named Simon and Jekyll, off the coast of Georgia in December 2022. Unlike the solitary nature typically associated with these feared ocean predators, the sharks displayed an extraordinary bond. Over several months, the scientists observed that Simon and Jekyll were moving in sync, traveling side by side for over 4,000 miles from the Atlantic Coast to Canada's Gulf of St. Lawrence. This behavior is unprecedented as great white sharks usually lead solitary lives. The sharks, both juveniles, weighed around 434 pounds and 395 pounds respectively. The researchers are investigating the possibility that they might be siblings, marking a groundbreaking finding in shark behavior......
